Intensified IEC Campaign | Cachar

Day 2 of the campaign reached communities at Pangram Pt-I and Pt-III with awareness on HIV/AIDS, STIs, TB, Hepatitis B & C and available health services.

📊 55 participants | 🏠 5 households reached | 🧪 20 HIV & Syphilis tests conducted, all non-reactive.

Strengthening awareness, encouraging testing and connecting communities with the right services.

Red Ribbon Sensitization Meeting on HIV & Injecting Drug Use

Assam State AIDS Control Society (ASACS), in collaboration with Northeast Frontier Railway and partner departments, organised a sensitization meeting at Guwahati Railway Station on September 3, 2026.

The session focused on HIV prevention, the risks associated with injecting drug use, treatment and support through Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST), and the importance of awareness, counselling and rehabilitation. Railway commuters, the general public and people who inject drugs participated in the programme.

The event also featured experiences shared by OST beneficiaries and a street play highlighting HIV and drug abuse.

The launch of Assam’s 60-Day Intensified IEC Campaign for HIV & STI Awareness in Dibrugarh brought together leaders, health professionals, partners and young people with a shared focus: taking the right information closer to the people who need it.

From awareness to prevention, from conversations to informed choices, the campaign is about making HIV and STI awareness a part of everyday conversations, especially among the youth.

Today on the 2nd September Formal Launching of IEC Campaign was executed at Cachar District.The Launching was done by Prof.Niranjan Roy,Vice Chancellor, Guru Charan University and Dr. Sumona Naiding, Joint director of health services,Cachar at Guru Charan University, Cachar

The Launching programme comprised of Awareness sessions by esteemed dignitaries on dais and Short foot rally by NCC cadets and NACP officials.

যুৱ সমাজক HIV/AIDS আৰু যৌন সংক্ৰমিত ৰোগ (STI) সম্পৰ্কে সঠিক, বিজ্ঞানভিত্তিক তথ্য আৰু সজাগতা প্ৰদানৰ লক্ষ্যৰে বজালী জিলাত আজি বিশেষ IEC অভিযানৰ শুভাৰম্ভ কৰা হয়।

বাঘমাৰাৰ নৰ্থ কামৰূপ কলেজত অনুষ্ঠিত উদ্বোধনী কাৰ্যসূচীত অতিৰিক্ত জিলা আয়ুক্ত শ্ৰী তহিৰ আলমে সজাগতা অভিযানৰ ভেনখন ফ্লেগ অফ কৰে।

অভিযানটোৰ মূল লক্ষ্য—ভুল ধাৰণা দূৰ কৰা, সংক্ৰমণ প্ৰতিৰোধ, সময়মতে পৰীক্ষা-নিৰীক্ষা আৰু স্বাস্থ্যসেৱা গ্ৰহণৰ প্ৰতি সজাগতা বৃদ্ধি, তথা HIV-ৰ সৈতে জীয়াই থকা লোকসকলৰ প্ৰতি বৈষম্য আৰু সামাজিক কলংক হ্ৰাস কৰা।
