A technical team from the World Bank visited Assam from 26–29 May 2026 under the DAHD, Government of India’s Pandemic Fund Initiative to support the development of a Veterinary Bio-Waste Management Framework.
The team held consultations with stakeholders and visited various livestock farms, veterinary institutions, dairy farms, poultry units, slaughterhouses, and pig breeding centres across the State to assess existing bio-waste management practices.
A concluding meeting was held on 29 May 2026 at the Directorate of A.H. & Veterinary Department, Assam, to discuss key observations and future strategies for sustainable veterinary bio-waste management.

ভাৰত চৰকাৰৰ পশুপালন আৰু দুগ্ধ উন্নয়ন বিভাগ (DAHD)-ৰ Pandemic Fund Initiative-ৰ অধীনত পশু-জৈৱ আৱৰ্জনা ব্যৱস্থাপনা (Veterinary Bio-Waste Management) সম্পৰ্কীয় এক পৰিকাঠামো প্ৰস্তুতৰ উদ্দেশ্যে বিশ্ব বেংকৰ এটা কাৰিকৰী দলে ২৬ মে’ৰ পৰা ২৯ মে’ ২০২৬লৈ অসম ভ্ৰমণ কৰে।
ভ্ৰমণকালত দলটোৱে পশুপালন আৰু পশু চিকিৎসা বিভাগ, অসমৰ বিষয়াবৰ্গ তথা অন্যান্য অংশীদাৰৰ সৈতে আলোচনা কৰাৰ উপৰিও ৰাজ্যৰ বিভিন্ন পশুপালন, দুগ্ধ, হাঁহ-কুকুৰা আৰু গাহৰি পালন কেন্দ্ৰ পৰিদৰ্শন কৰে।
২৯ মে’ ২০২৬ তাৰিখে পশুপালন আৰু পশু চিকিৎসা সঞ্চালকালয়, চেনিকুঠি, গুৱাহাটীত অনুষ্ঠিত সমাপনী বৈঠকত ৰাজ্যত বৈজ্ঞানিক আৰু পৰিৱেশ-অনুকূল পশু-জৈৱ আৱৰ্জনা ব্যৱস্থাপনা শক্তিশালী কৰাৰ ওপৰত গুৰুত্ব আৰোপ কৰা হয়।

“Jan Bhagidari” অভিযান – “সবচে দূৰ, সবচে আগে” শীৰ্ষক কাৰ্যসূচীৰ অন্তৰ্গত জনজাতীয় গৰিমা উৎসৱ ২০২৬ উপলক্ষে জনজাতি পৰিক্ৰমা মন্ত্ৰালয়ৰ অধীনত আয়োজিত জন শুনৱাই কাৰ্যসূচীত অংশগ্ৰহণ কৰা হয়। উক্ত কাৰ্যসূচীত সাধাৰণ জনসাধাৰণৰ মাজত বিভিন্ন পশু স্বাস্থ্য আৰু কল্যাণমূলক আঁচনি তথা কাৰ্যসূচীৰ বিষয়ে সজাগতা সৃষ্টি কৰা হয়। ইয়াৰ ভিতৰত FMD, CSF আৰু ARV টিকাকৰণ অভিযান, KCC আঁচনি, পশু স্বাস্থ্য সেৱা আৰু জীৱিকাভিত্তিক বিভিন্ন উদ্যোগ অন্তৰ্ভুক্ত আছিল।
এই মত-বিনিময়মূলক কাৰ্যসূচীৰ জৰিয়তে ক্ষেত্ৰ পৰ্যায়ত সেৱা সম্প্ৰসাৰণ, স্বাস্থ্য সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি আৰু স্থানীয় জনজাতীয় সম্প্ৰদায়ৰ মাজত পশু চিকিৎসা সেৱাৰ সহজলভ্যতা উন্নত কৰাৰ ওপৰত বিশেষ গুৰুত্ব আৰোপ কৰা হয়।
Participated in the Jan Sunwai programme organized under Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan – “Sabse Door, Sabse Pahle” as part of Janjatiya Garima Utsav 2026 under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. During the programme, awareness was created among the public regarding various veterinary health and welfare schemes and programmes, including FMD, CSF and ARV vaccination drives, KCC schemes, animal health services, and livelihood-oriented initiatives.
The interaction emphasized field-level outreach, service saturation, health awareness, and improving accessibility of veterinary services among the local tribal communities.

আমাৰ উদ্দেশ্য হৈছে বিশেষজ্ঞসকলৰ জ্ঞানক কৃষকৰ দুৱাৰমুখলৈ লৈ যোৱা, যাতে কৃষকসকলে সময়োপযোগী আৰু উপযোগী তথ্য লাভ কৰি অধিক উৎপাদনশীল আৰু সফল হ’ব পাৰে।
