Karanprayag Karanprayag or Karnprayag or Karnaprayag (Devanagari: कर्ण प्रयाग) is a city and Males constitute 56% of the population and females make up 44%.

Demographics

As of the 2001 India census,[1] Karanprayag had a population of 6976. Karanprayag has an average literacy rate of 76%, higher than the national average of 59.5%. Male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 69%. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. Geography

Karanprayag is located at 30.27°N 79.25°E.[2] It has an average elevation of 1,451 metres (4,760 feet). The confluen

ce of the Pindari River, which arises from the icy Pindari glacier and the Alaknanda, occurs at Karanprayag. Nanda Devi, towering above at 7,816 m (25,634 ft.), and surrounded by an array of glittering peaks, Trisul, Drona Giri, Narad Ghunti, Mrigathuni and Maiktoli. Overview

Karan Prayag is one of five sites where the confluence of rivers occurs. The five prayags are Vishnuprayag, Nandprayag, Karanprayag, Rudraprayag and Devprayag. Allahabad where the Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati join, is known as Prayag, and is one of the holy places of Hindu pilgrimage. Karanprayag is believed by many to be the place where Karna of the Mahabharata, was to have worshipped the Sun God. It is the ancient temple, devoted to Uma and Karna. It is on the way to Badrinath, on the confluence of two holy rivers Alaknanda and Pindar. It is said that Karna of Mahabharata meditated here for many years to acquire the impregnable shield, which made him a formidable warrior in the battlefield. Swami Vivekananda meditated here for eighteen days with his Guru Bhai, Guru Turianand ji and Akharanand ji. It is the sub-divisional head-quarter of district Chamoli. Roads from here go to Almora, Nainital and Jim Corbett National Park.

उत्तराखंड का एक ऐसा जबरदस्त कलाकार जो पूरे देश में अपनी एक्टिंग का लोहा मनवा चुके हैं शायद ही आज कोई ऐसा होगा जिन्होंने इनके वीडियो ना देखे हो। जी हां हम बात कर रहें हैं जसपाल शर्मा के बारे में मूल रूप से कौसानी के रहने वाले जसपाल शर्मा जिनका जन्म हल्द्वानी में हुआ और वहीं से पढ़ाई-लिखाई भी हुई। इन्होंने महात्मा गांधी इंटर कॉलेज हल्द्वानी से बारहवीं पास किया है और कुमाऊं के सबसे बड़े कॉलेज से MBPG से ग्रेजुएशन करी।

आज भले इस चेहरे को करोड़ों लोग पहचानते हैं लेकिन इनके यहां तक पहुंचने की यह यात्रा काफी संघर्ष भरी रही है। यही कारण है कि इनके द्वारा निभाए गए हर किरदार में वह अपने आप को भूलकर किरदार को जीवंत कर देते हैं। ओर एक यही कारण हे जिससे लोग इनको खूब पसंद करते है।

आपको बता दे जसपाल शर्मा को बचपन से ही अभिनय का शोक था। समय रहते इन्हें अहसास हुआ कि ऊंचा मुकाम हासिल करना है तो नैनीताल को पीछे छोड़ना पड़ेगा। तब यह लगभग नौ वर्षों तक स्टेज शोज करने के बाद दिल्ली चले गए।
दिल्ली पहुंचने के बाद ये वहां भी थिएटर करने लगे और इसी दौरान इन्हें नवाज़ुद्दीन सिद्दीकी के साथ "कथा एक कंस की" नाटक में अभिनय करने का भी मौका मिला।

इसके बाद धीरे–धीरे रास्ते खुलते गए और यह उन रास्तों पर चलते हुए नाटकों से निकलकर बॉलीवुड तक पहुंच गए। साल 2015 में बॉलीवुड के अभिनेता इरफ़ान खान के साथ तलवार फिल्म में काम करने का अवसर मिला और फिर वहां से इन्होने पीछे नहीं देखा। और आज जसपाल शर्मा कई बॉलीवुड फिल्मों में भी काम कर चुके हैं।

बॉलीवुड में काम करने के साथ ही करीब दो साल से जसपाल शर्मा सोशल मीडिया के सबसे बेस्ट चैनल नजरबट्टू के साथ राइटर और अभिनेता के रूप में जुड़े हैं। नजरबट्टू की विडियोज में इनका अभिनय इतना शानदार है कि एक बार वीडियो प्ले हो गई तो फिर उसे अधूरा छोड़ने का मन नही करता।

कुल मिलाकर जसपाल शर्मा की यह सफलता न केवल उत्तराखण्ड बल्कि देशभर के हल्द्वानी जैसे छोटे-छोटे शहरों में बड़े-बड़े सपने देख रहे युवाओं लिए प्रेरणादायी है। आज जसपाल शर्मा को उनके अभिनय के कारण करोड़ों लोग उन्हें पसंद करते हैं। 💐
