DISTRICT LEVEL EXHIBITION CUM FARMER SCIENTISTS INTERACTION A District level exhibition cm Farmer Scientists Interaction was held at Beyong, Martam Block on 17/01/2024. The Programme was organized by Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Agriculture Department, Gangtok District, Govt. Of Sikkim. Respected District Collector of Gangtok District Shri Tushar Nikharae was invited as the Chief Guest of the programme followed by Government Officials from Different Line Departments of Gangtok District viz. Mr. Passang Tamang (Additional Director, Horticulture Department), Mr. Tshering Norbu bhutia (Additional Director, PMKSY Scheme, Agriculture Department)Dr.
Zeruiah Bhutia (Additional Director, AH& VS Department), Dr. Roshna Gazmer (Deputy
Director, IPM, Agriculture Department), Mr. Yogesh Gautam (Joint Director cm Project
Director, ATMA, Agriculture Department), , Dr. Prarayan Manger (VO, AH&VS Department),
Ms. Susmita Lama Tamang (Deputy Director, cm Deputy PD, ATMA, Agriculture Department. The different field level officials like ADOs, AI, VLWs, ATMs, BTMs and MAs of all the 5 blocks of Gangtok District were also present. Self Help Group (SHG) from every block of Gangtok District and Farm School Teacher Martam Block showcased their organic producs (exhibits) in the above programme. The SHGs that participated were Shivadeep SHG (Rakdong-Tintek), Teesta SHG (Martam), Mayal SHG (Ranka), Green SHG (Kamdong), and Noble Orchid SHG (Nandok Block). The programme commenced by offering of Khadas to Chief Guest and various Officials followed by welcome speech from PD ATMA Gangtok, likewise briefing of the programme was given by Deputy PD, ATMA Gangtok. In the meantime the Chief Guest visited the different stalls displayed by SHGs and interacted with them
