A delegation of BJP Sikkim visited the Sikkim Milk Union today to understand the status of milk incentives to be provided to milk producers across the state. The visit was necessitated by the delay in disbursement of incentives and several requests received by the party from different milk producersโ€™ societies and local farmers.

The delegation was assured by the Managing Director of Sikkim Milk Union that the process for disbursement of the incentives would begin within the next few days.

The delegation apprised the MD that several milk producers are facing financial hardships and urged the Milk Union to expedite the disbursement, keeping in mind the upcoming Dashain and other festivals.

The party also responds to the questions from media regarding the repeated claims of โ€œno alliance with the BJPโ€ in Sikkim, reiterating that the alliance remains strong. Such statements appear to be coming from a few MLAs who are concerned about the BJPโ€™s growing popularity and presence among the people in their respective constituencies and are therefore expressing their frustration.
