The Congregation was founded in Switzerland in 1856 by Fr. Theodosius Florentini & Mother Maria Theresa Scherer. Holy Cross School at Tadong, Sikkim, is a Catholic Institution managed by Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross, North East Province. Established in the year 1985 and affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi, in 1989. It runs classes up to Senior Secondary Level for both boys and girls. The medium of

instruction is English. The school aims at forming fully alive men and women, who will live and work for others and contribute to the building up of a just and fraternal society, to meet the need of the time in India today. The school is suitably located in Tadong, approximately 9 km. away from the main town, Gangtok. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the town, thus providing an atmosphere of peace and quiet for proper teaching-learning activity. Holy Cross School has been rendering service to the society by educating the children with emphasis on value-based learning. The school aims at developing and empowering students with knowledge, values, experiences, attitudes and skills to face the examination of life. The motto of the school is LOVE and SERVICE. Therefore the school believes in fostering love, unity, respect and sensitivity to one and all irrespective of caste, status and sex, by creating awareness of social, political, economical and ecological realities. After becoming the champion of Sikkim Chapter and runner up in the Guwahati chapter of INTACH Quiz, our team qualified for the Delhi Chapter. The quiz was organised by the INTACH Delhi team. It was on the 15th and 16th of December where the first day all the qualifiers teams got the chance to know each other and they were sensitized about the rules and regulations of the quiz. On the 16th the semifinal and final of the quiz were conducted. Although we couldn't make it to the finals and lost in the semifinal but it was a matter of pride that we represented sikkim and reached into the semifinal of this INTACH QUIZ 2025.

Today, during the morning assembly, the much-awaited house-wise results for the academic year 2025 were announced. The assembly began with a brief introduction highlighting the spirit of healthy competition and teamwork that each house displayed throughout the year. The final score was as follows:
1st- Orchid -1115 points
2nd- Blue bells - 1095 points
3rd - Red Rose - 895 points
4th - Marigold - 855 points
The winners got the trophies from the principal.
