One major update for our Sikkim state from today's GST council meet🙏🙏

Transport of passengers by Helicopters from/to specified states

Recommendations of the 57th Meeting of the GST Council
to exempt from GST, the services of passenger transportation by helicopter on seat-sharing basis from/to airports/helipads located in north-eastern states, Sikkim and Bagdogra in West Bengal.

Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog Project Director Shri Prateek Deshmukh said the Frontier Region Programme is focused on understanding Sikkim’s local innovation ecosystem and developing customised templates for Atal Tinkering Labs and incubation centres.

Shri Deshmukh said around 24 new Atal Tinkering Labs are being planned in Sikkim, with the broader goal of building an innovation pipeline—from school students and emerging technologies to higher education, startups, entrepreneurs and stronger entrepreneurship institutions.
