A State Level Census Coordination Committee meeting was held on 05.08.2025 at the Conference Hall of Tashiling Secretariat, Government of Sikkim under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Government of Sikkim, Shri.Ravindra Telang, IAS. Principal Secretary, Forest & Environment Department, Principal Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, Secretaries from Urban Development Department, LR & D M Department, Rural Development Department, Home cm Nodal Census Officer (Census), Commerce & Industries Department, Health, Education Department, Secretary cm DG, DESME, Deputy Commissioners of respective districts along with other dignitaries of Government of Sikkim attended the meeting. In the meeting, Shri Karma R. Bonpo, IAS, Director of Census Operations,Sikkim apprised the members about the overview of the Census 2027 and procedures to be followed about first Digital Census in India and in Sikkim.

आज दिनांक 02 अक्तूबर, 2024 को जनगणना कार्य निदेशालय, सिक्किम द्वारा संयुक्त निदेशक ड़ा. बी. दस गुप्ता की अध्यक्षता मे स्वछ भारत अभियान के अंतर्गत दुर्गा मंदिर, गैरी गाँव, ताडोंग मे श्रम दान कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया जिसमे कार्यालय के सभी अधिकारी एवं कर्मचारियों ने बड़े उत्सुकता से भाग लिया जिसके कुछ छायाचित्रा साझा किया जा रहा है।

In the prelude to Vigilance Awareness Campaign, the Directorate of Census Operations, Sikkim organised in-house training session on “CCS(Conduct) Rules, 1964” for the officials today on 25.09.2024. Resource person was Shri Abhay Kumar, ADCO(T) of this Directorate. The session was an interactive one in which all the questions raised by the officials were answered with examples by the Resource person.
