Report on ToFEI Celebration at Govt. Junior High School, Lower Burtuk
The Govt. Junior High School, Lower Burtuk, celebrated ToFEI (Tobacco-Free Educational Institution) on the school premises with great enthusiasm and active participation. The programme was held under the leadership of Mr. Rajen Tamang, Headmaster, and Nodal Teacher Mr. B.K. Sharma.
The event began with a welcome speech by Mr. B.K. Sharma, who emphasized the importance of creating awareness among students regarding the harmful effects of to***co. Following the welcome, a pledge was administered by Mrs. Purnima Gurung, encouraging students and staff to commit to a to***co-free lifestyle.
A series of engaging activities were conducted as part of the programme, including a quiz competition, slogan writing, poster-making, and a rally in the nearby community to spread awareness about the dangers of to***co use.
The Headmaster, Mr. Rajen Tamang, addressed the students and highlighted the ill effects of to***co, such as addiction, health hazards, and its impact on young minds. He stressed the need for continuous awareness and the collective responsibility of maintaining a to***co-free school School saw participation from teachers and students with great enthusiasm.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the participants, teachers, and students for making the event a success and for their commitment toward a healthier, to***co-free future.
