"IMPORTANT NOTICE"
Report:
Water for Gangtok town is tapped from Rateychu river located/situated at 16km from Selep-Bulbulay. Raw water from river Rateychu is drawn using 3nos of 350mm diameter and 4(four) nos 150mm diameter pipes. The pipes are laid on a narrow track. Motorable road exists up to km 3.00 and four-wheel drive vehicle movement is possible up to km 11.00.
Cloud burst in the last few days/nights have been creating water crisis in the state capital. Physical detection has been in progress to find out the faults in the entire stretch pipeline of 16.00km. A stretch at km 14.50 (ie at 9th mile) have developed sudden burst at 5.30 pm today ie 20.04.2023 thereby all the raw water main pipelines of 350mm diameter and 150mm diameter pipes are washed away for about 120m.
The field staff stationed at km 7.00 (ie at 4th mile) have immediately been mobilized to cut off the mains at the intake at Rateychu river. Tapping of local sources along Bulbulay- Rateychu will be started from tomorrow morning. The restoration of raw water main pipes will also commence from tomorrow. Exact damages could not be ascertained today.
The general citizens of Gangtok town are hereby informed that the restoration of water pipelines may take 2-3 days.
Restricted water supply will be put in operation subject to the quantity available from tapping local sources. If need arise, an alternative arrangement of water distribution through water tankers shall be made available from Monday ie 24.04.2023 (if restoration work prolongs).
The general citizens are also requested to refrain from panicking and restrict water usages for unavoidable purposes only. The PHED would further like to assure that the restoration and resorting to normal water supply operation will definitely commence from 24.04.2023.
The PHED regrets for the inconvenience caused due to the natural calamity. The PHED requests its citizens to bear with the situation.

Heart felt condolence to our daughter may her soul rest in eternal peace and this person should be hanged till death , we Daragaon Yuwa Shakti demand immediate action and he should be given a life sentence or hang till death so that other people don’t think to repeat it again , if he get bail then We the public of Sikkim will never count him as a human,we are not gonna leave him in any circumstances.
In Sikkim we respect everyone that doesn't mean we are cowards! God save humanity.
We have faith in our justice.

As we are aware that under the leadership & guidance of HCM Shri P.S Golay Sir & HMLA Shri G.T Dhungel sir, a free health camp is being organised at Greendale school from 9:30am onwards. The health camp will be presence of reputed doctors from different departments who will do the diagonisis and distribute free medicines to all the general public of 25upper Tadong.

Hence all are requested to kindly attend the free medical health camp tomorrow i.e 14th April 2023 from 9:30am onwards at Greendale school premises.

So all the youth ward executives are kindly requested to coordinate with the respective Councillors and ward President and identify and locate the common Citizens of our Constituency who are in need of medical assistance of our Constituency and provide assistance to bring the needy to attend the free health camp and avail the benifits.

On 22nd of October, 25th upper tadong greets the festival of light with a Pre Tihar celebration at Nar Bahadur Bhandari Degree College (Auditorium).
