Celebration of World Hepatitis Day in District Ganderbal
World Hepatitis Day was observed across all Health Institutions of District Ganderbal under the overall supervision of Chief Medical Officer Ganderbal, Dr. B. A. Khan. The day was marked by organizing awareness programmes, health education sessions, IEC activities, and screening initiatives to educate the public about the prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment of viral hepatitis.
Healthcare workers sensitized the community on safe injection practices, blood safety, vaccination against Hepatitis B, and the importance of timely testing and treatment. The observance reaffirmed the Health Department's commitment to strengthening hepatitis prevention and ensuring quality healthcare services for the people of District Ganderbal.

In continuation of the ongoing Nasha Mukht Abhiyaan launched by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Shri Manoj Sinha Ji, a padyatra was conducted by the employees of the Health Department Ganderbal.
The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from health officials and staff, who raised powerful slogans reaffirming their commitment to eradicate drug abuse from the Union Territory. The participants collectively voiced their resolve, stating that the fight against drug addiction will continue relentlessly until the menace is completely eliminated from Jammu & Kashmir.
The padyatra aimed to spread awareness among the public regarding the harmful effects of substance abuse and to encourage community participation in building a drug-free society.
The initiative reflects the strong dedication of the Health Department Ganderbal towards achieving the vision of a Nasha Mukht Jammu & Kashmir.
