Importance Of Using Eco-Friendly Ganesh Idols..
Ganesh Chaturthi, a festival celebrated across India to honour Lord Ganesh, is becoming more eco-friendly these days. Traditionally, Ganesh idols, made of Plaster of Paris, are immersed in water during this festival, which spoil the water.

But many people now comprehend the importance of using eco-friendly Ganesh idols. With vast number of people celebrating the event, it seems difficult to promote the importance of using eco-friendly Ganesh idols. The difference in the price of idols is the main reason.

Eco-friendly Ganesh idols are made from paper pulp, natural colours and natural gums. Why should you use eco-friendly Ganesh idols?
It is something that we can do for our environment as responsible citizens. Plaster of Paris is non-biodegradable and it badly affects the aquatic life and water bodies. To save and protect our environment, we should join hands and do our bit, and go for eco-friendly products.

Many campaigns are conducted so as to make the common man aware of the consequences of using non-biodegradable products.
Religious believes are to be followed with immense purity not only for ourselves, but also for the nature.

PSLV-C38 / Cartosat-2 Series Satellite
PSLV-C38

India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, in its 40th flight (PSLV-C38), will launch the 712 kg Cartosat-2 series satellite for earth observation and 30 co-passenger satellites together weighing about 243 kg at lift-off into a 505 km polar Sun Synchronous Orbit (SSO). PSLV-C38 will be launched from the First Launch Pad (FLP) of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota. This will be the seventeenth flight of PSLV in 'XL' configuration (with the use of solid strap-on motors).

The co-passenger satellites comprise 29 Nano satellites from 14 countries namely, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, United Kingdom, and United States of America as well as one Nano satellite from India. The total weight of all these satellites carried on-board PSLV-C38 is about 955 kg.

The 29 International customer Nano satellites are being launched as part of the commercial arrangements between Antrix Corporation Limited (Antrix), a Government of India company under Department of Space (DOS) and the commercial arm of ISRO and the International customers.

Class VI girl in Jharkhand uses pocket money to build toilets for poor people

Jamshedpur: A Class VI student of Hill Top School, Telco, spent her pocket money to build toilets for poor people in Potka block of East Singhbhum district. Inspired by the Prime Minister’s appeal to participate in making India a clean place to live in by 2019, the minor girl used her savings for constructing two toilets.

“I am glad that a schoolgirl spent all her pocket money for constructing toilets. She is an inspiration for all of us,” CM Raghubar Das said after felicitating her at a state-level sanitation conference here on Saturday.

“I began saving my pocket money since the end of 2014 and in over 12 months, I saved Rs 24,000 out of which a part was used in constructing a toilet in a village close to Hudco dam in Potka block,” said Mondrita Chatterjee, who has earned Sanitation Champion certificate from the state government in recognition of her contribution towards sanitation.
