ভূগোল শুধু একটি বিষয় নয়; এটি পৃথিবীকে জানার, সমাজকে বোঝার এবং ভবিষ্যৎ নির্মাণের এক শক্তিশালী মাধ্যম। Sarojini Naidu College for Women–এর স্নাতকোত্তর ভূগোল বিভাগ আগামী শিক্ষাবর্ষের জুলাই মাসে পোস্ট গ্র্যাজুয়েট কোর্সে পুনরায় ভর্তি প্রক্রিয়া শুরু করতে চলেছে। আনন্দের সঙ্গে জানাচ্ছি যে আমাদের পোস্ট গ্র্যাজুয়েট বিভাগের আসন সংখ্যা ২৫ থেকে বৃদ্ধি পেয়ে ৩৫ হয়েছে, ফলে আরও বেশি ছাত্রী উচ্চশিক্ষার সুযোগ পাবে। চলতি বছরের ষষ্ঠ সেমিস্টারের ছাত্রীরা এবং গত তিন বছরের মধ্যে ভূগোলে স্নাতক ডিগ্রি অর্জন করেছে যারা এখনো এম.এসসি.-তে ভর্তি হোসনি বা ভর্তি হতে চাস—তোদের সবাইকে আন্তরিকভাবে আবেদন করার আহ্বান জানাচ্ছি। আমাদের কলেজ থেকে যারা পাশ করেছিস, তোদের সময়ের বা আগের-পরের ব্যাচের যেসব মেয়েরা অন্য কলেজ থেকে পাশ করে এম.এসসি. পড়তে চায়, তাদেরকেও জানাস যে আমাদের বিভাগে স্নাতকোত্তর পাঠদান চলছে এবং তাদের এখানে ভর্তি হতে উৎসাহিত করিস। অভিজ্ঞ ও গবেষণামুখী শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকাদের দিকনির্দেশনায়, নিয়মিত ফিল্ড সার্ভে, প্রজেক্ট ও গবেষণার বাস্তব অভিজ্ঞতার মাধ্যমে তোরা নিজেকে গড়ে তুলতে পারবি একজন আত্মবিশ্বাসী ও দক্ষ ভূগোলবিদ হিসেবে। আজকের সঠিক সিদ্ধান্তই তোদের আগামীর সাফল্যের ভিত্তি গড়ে দেবে—তাই দেরি না করে স্বপ্নপূরণের পথে এগিয়ে আয়। যেকোনো বিস্তারিত তথ্য জানার জন্য সরাসরি বিভাগে যোগাযোগ কর বা ডিপার্টমেন্টের যে কোনো শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকার সঙ্গে কথা বল।

This is to inform all concerned that the college schedule during Christmas and New Year's Day will be as follows:
25th December 2025 - College will remain closed on account of Christmas.
26th December 2025 to 29th December 2025- College will remain closed at the discretion of the Principal.
30th December 2025 - College will remain *open* only for University Examinations.
31st December 2025 - College will remain closed at the discretion of the Principal.
1st January 2026 - College will remain closed on account of New Year's Day.
All students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff are requested to note the above schedule.

We, the students and faculty members, gathered to commemorate World Soil Day on December 5th, 2025. The event commenced with a brief inauguration ceremony, followed by an enlightening lecture by Nayantara Pal, a distinguished student and topper of PG Sem 3. The lecture was a highlight of the event, providing valuable insights to all attendees. Subsequently, undergraduate students showcased their creative talents by presenting posters on various themes related to soil, showcasing their understanding and enthusiasm for the subject. The posters presented by the undergraduate students were evaluated by a panel of esteemed judges: Dr. Soma Aditya Bandyopadhyay, Department of Zoology; Dr. Tapati Jana, Department of Physics; Dr. Mrityunjay Datta, Department of Chemistry and Dr. Namrata Shanu Gupta, Department of Botany; distinguished faculty members of Sarojini Naidu College for Women. The programme concluded with a warm and engaging interaction between the judges and students, fostering a spirit of inquiry and exchange of ideas.
