UPHIR : A man named UPHIR (mineupu), who was only 5 feet tall, once lived in the village of Jawllian. He was well-known among everyone, from young children to the elderly. His job was to cut thatch for huts and deliver it to the villagers. Occasionally, people asked him to carry pre-cut thatch. UPHIR was known for being friendly, generous, and hardworking. Where he be now???

Stink bean, also known as parkia speciosa, sataw (สะตอ), petai, peteh, bitter bean, Zawngtah (in Paite language) , smelly bean or twisted cluster bean is widely consumed in southern southeast Asia.

With a high concentration of amino acids, the nutrition packed bean has an aroma that some say could pass as methane gas – but in a scrumptious sort of way!
