DACRC Dibrugarh in association with Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, conducted an awareness programme at Kolowlowa Senior Basic School, Dibrugarh.
In the meeting, Project Coordinator of DACRC Dibrugarh, Mridu Borah laid forward the ill effects of addiction on the younger generation and the role of guardians in safeguarding them whereas the key personnel of Central Information Bureau spoke about cleanliness as one vital responsibility of all. A quiz competition was organised for the students and guardians and prizes were given to the winners.
The program came to an end with the concluding speech of the Principal of the school and few concerned senior citizens of the village. Above all the whole awareness programme was a successful one.

Today On 13th August, 2025 on the occasion of the successful completion of the 5th year of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan on the 79th Independence Day , DACRC, Dibrugarh, took a pledge against drugs at Govt.boys h.s school, along with the students and teachers as well as the DACRC, Dibrugarh centre with all the inmates and staff.

Theme: Breaks the Chains: Prevention, Treatment and Recovery for all.
Today, on June 26, 2025, as part of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, an event was organized by the District Social Welfare Department and De Addiction cm Rehabilitation Centre Dibrugarh in collaboration with Jagriti Unnayan kendra and Nayee Roshani Foundation at the Dibru College Auditorium. Officials from the Social Welfare Department, including POSHAN Abhiyaan and SANKALP: HEW, supervisors, New Way of Life Foundation, Re-generational Wellness Society, and Foxtale Anti Drug Rehabilitation Center were present. Dignitaries present at the event were: District Social Welfare Officer Shri Prasanta Bora; Child Development Protection Officers of Dibrugarh Urban and Panitola ICDS Project; Principal of Dibru College Ranjan Changmai; Economics Professor of Dibru College Shri Prasanta Bora; In-charge of Dibrugarh Police Station Shri Raju Chetri; History Professor of Dibru College Smti Banti Phukan; ICTC of AMCH Shri Ananta Hazarika; CRPF Shri Tuken Baruah; and Health Department AMCH Shri Pranab Jyoti Patra. The meeting was inaugurated by Principal of Dibru College, Ranjan Changmai.

All of the dignitaries delivered their valuable speeches in accordance with the subject matter of the meeting. A felicitation ceremony was conducted for the people who have recovered from drug abuse.Also we facilitate our ex inmates and taking opinion from students of the dibru college on impact of substance uses.
