Nearly 100 NCC cadets from three educational institutions under the 72 Assam Girls (i) Coy NCC, Dibrugarh Group, participated in a tree plantation drive in Dibrugarh on September 8, 2026. The cadets planted more than 50 saplings as part of the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign.
The plantation initiative was organised as a green tribute to motherhood and Mother Earth, while also highlighting the importance of environmental conservation. The participation of the young cadets reflected their commitment towards creating a cleaner and greener environment.
The campaign also sought to encourage greater awareness among the youth about sustainable living and the need to protect nature for future generations. Through the plantation drive, the NCC cadets reaffirmed the role of young citizens in promoting environmental responsibility and building a sustainable future.
