Some budget highlights for Dharwad city :
(1) Funding for DIMHANS with central assistance (50 cr project, 40% state contribution)
(2) Approval for Consumer Research and Excellence center at Dharwad with central funding
(3) Sewage treatment plant (repeat of the obvious)
(4) Park for women entrepreneurs
(5) M.M. Kalburgi Research Centre will be setup
at Karnataka University Dharwad at a cost of Rs. 2
crore
Also, IIIT will get 60 acres between Hubballi and Dharwad,,,, (Land for IIT on Belgaum road is still pending)
The first two projects (1) and (2) are big/reputed ones,, both are central govt initiatives, with state assistance and part funding...
