The MPs then toured the nunnery premises and held discussions on various pertinent issues concerning the institution and the community.

Following a group photograph session, the Tibetan Settlement Officer from Dharamshala accompanied the MPs to Shalu Monastery, located approximately 2 kilometers from the nunnery. At the monastery, the MPs were welcomed with traditional Tibetan ceremonial scarves by senior monks.

After touring the monastery’s main prayer hall, the MPs were received at the monastery office, where tea and snacks were served. Discussions were held focusing on local development concerns and ongoing issues faced by the monastic community.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Tibetan Settlement Officer escorted both MPs back to Dharamshala and ensured their arrival at their respective staff quarters.

Today, on behalf of my community, I had the honor of welcoming and congratulating the newly appointed Station House Officer (SHO) of McLeod Police Thana.
