Tanvi Mishra will be at PlaTform 26 in Switzerland.

A photo editor, curator, writer and educator, her practice explores rights and representation in image-making, refusal as a visual strategy, and the shifting boundaries between truth and fiction. Her work sits at the intersection of politics, culture and social justice, foregrounding kinship and solidarity as tools to imagine alternate, reparative futures.

Her current research focuses on refusal and its relationship to visibility, particularly in the context of ongoing colonialities. She examines photography’s limitations in illustrating complicity and implication, asking how images might move beyond representations of suffering to consider the structures, causes and perpetrators of power.

Meet Thị Hoàng Thư Nguyễn, a Geneva-based textile designer specialising in hand felting and knitting. With a passion for ancient techniques and intricate patterns, her practice brings traditional craftsmanship into conversation with contemporary design.

During her residency in Vietnam, Thị Hoàng Thư Nguyễn will explore the connections between Vietnamese textile traditions and contemporary practice, looking at how techniques such as weaving, embroidery and tie-dye are preserved, passed down and reimagined across generations.
The residency will result in documented research and new textile designs that bring heritage and contemporary creativity into dialogue.

A cultural practitioner, author, curator and educator, Alakananda Nag works at the intersection of image-making, archives and cultural practice. Through Absent Archives, she explores forgotten and underrepresented histories and finds new ways to engage with archival silences.

During her research trip, she will meet Swiss curators, archivists and cultural practitioners to explore how Swiss institutions work with absence, fragmentation and living memory, and exchange approaches to archival and curatorial practice.

Ground Control by Studio Eidola reflects on Ladakh’s emerging lithium frontier through a field of survey-like markers, made from locally gathered twigs and marigold-dyed wool. Referencing the tools and visual language used to investigate territory, the installation imagines a possible future shaped by mineral extraction.

At the same time, its materials remain rooted in the present: wool, pastoral practices, seasonal grazing routes and generations of knowledge tied to the land.

The work asks what happens when a landscape valued for its cultural and ecological life begins to be seen through the lens of what lies beneath it.

Founded in Zürich in 2020 by Denizay Apusoglu and Jonas Kissling, Studio Eidola works at the intersection of material research and design. By collaborating with local industries and working with mineral waste and industrial by-products, the studio uncovers overlooked material histories and reimagines their future.

Through objects, spatial interventions, and alternative building materials, Studio Eidola challenges linear systems of production, proposing new narratives of reuse, transformation, and the evolving life of matter.

What happens when children’s imaginations inspire artists across borders?

LET ME DRAW YOU A STORY brings together illustrators from Switzerland, India, and Bhutan, creating new artworks inspired by children’s drawings based on extracts from Swiss children’s books.

The journey continues later this year as Swiss illustrators join the Drukyul’s Festival of Literature & Arts and the Bookaroo Children’s Literature Festival.

Presented by ThinkArts in partnership with the Embassy of Switzerland in India and Bhutan as part of the Sustainability with a Plus initiative.
