Department of Social Work Hostel Welcome to Department of Social Work Hostel, established in the year 1962. A., M. Phil., and PhD in Social Work.

DSSW has its own Hostel, the hostel has made endeavour to enrich the lives of the residents with emphasis on the values of acceptance and equality and help the students strive for a tolerant and accommodative society. DSSW Hostel developed its own interactive website http://dswh.du.ac.in and facilitates online admission application. Some other facilities/services provided to residents are: Internet connections, reading tables, sofa sets, digital clocks, vacuum cleaner, visitor’s room etc. The hostel authorities have introduced many innovative and creative initiatives to improve the residents academic pursits and strengthen the authorities and residents relationship. The life here provides the residents immense opportunities for interaction and healthy cosmopolitan development. Hostel club organizes various festivals/ programmes in the hostel, such as: Diwali, Christmas,Holi and Lohri, with traditional enthusiasm and vigor. Every year, the student who secures the highest marks in MA (Previous) among the hostellers is awarded the Medha Trophy.

Writing to you on behalf of the Changelooms team at Pravah, New Delhi and requesting you to circulate this email in your network and support us in reaching out to potential candidates for this year's Changelooms LLJ.

We are delighted to share that Pravah and Commutiny The Youth Collective with support from ORACLE and Gravitie Knowledge Services Pvt. Ltd. are inviting applications for the upcoming Changelooms – Learning and Leadership Journey program, 2016-2017.

What is Changelooms Learning and Leadership Journey 2016?

Changelooms LLJ is an inside out leadership journey that encourages, recognizes, supports and mentors young leaders to achieve their potential to lead social change initiatives through exciting opportunities for intensive learning, inspiration, mentoring, visibility, and fund-raising.

Who is it for?

Young Leaders within the age group of 18-35 years running a powerful social change initiative (running on the ground for at least 6 months) working extensively on aspects of education, environment, community development or empowerment of SC/ST communities. The initiatives should also have 'young people' as a major focus group.

Please apply as a team of two people!

Last date to apply: 30th June 2016

The intervention aims to support young leaders in/with:
Deepening one's own sense of self and her/his connect to society
Expand existing youth led initiatives to impact areas of education, environment, community development and ST/SC welfare.
Leading and nurturing a strong team of volunteers and young people
Inspiring the community and beyond.
Visibilising and amplifying their work through a powerful collective
Seed Grant of up to 1.65 lacs
