बारिश पर निर्भर क्षेत्रों में खेती को मज़बूती देने का संकल्प किसानों के लिए बड़े बदलाव का आधार बन रहा है। वर्षा आधारित क्षेत्र विकास (RAD) योजना के माध्यम से किसानों के लिए खेती के नए अवसर तैयार किए जा रहे हैं।

योजना के तहत अब तक 2,251.98 करोड़ रुपए की वित्तीय सहायता से 9.61 लाख हेक्टेयर क्षेत्र को एकीकृत कृषि प्रणाली के दायरे में लाया गया है, जिससे देश के 15.85 लाख किसानों तक योजना का लाभ पहुंचा है।
