What happens when the body remembers through material?

In Hakchang–Polang (Body Vessel), movement meets bamboo, handwoven textiles and handcrafted objects, drawing from the Polang, a traditional Manipuri vessel woven into the rhythms of everyday life.

Here, body and material listen to one another. Folklore, craft, ancestral knowledge and contemporary movement come together in a work that asks us to remember what our hands and bodies already know.

Experience Hakchang–Polang (Body Vessel), artistically directed by Surjit Nongmeikapam, this September!

What does one world sound like?

With Ankur Tewari, voices and instruments from different worlds come together, folk melodies opening into Hindustani classical aalaaps, original poetry meeting guitar, tabla and bansuri.

In Venice, these songs travel without needing translation. They speak instead through feeling of longing, kinship, and the quiet hope that harmony is something we create together.

Experience One World, artistically directed by Ankur Tewari, this September!
