📚 Shodh-Chakra Orientation at USME, DTU East Campus

DTU Central Library successfully organised an orientation session on Shodh-Chakra on 20 August 2026 at USME, DTU East Campus, for faculty members and PhD scholars, introducing them to INFLIBNET Centre’s initiative for digitising and streamlining the research lifecycle.

The session covered:
🔹 Shodh-Chakra and its role in connecting Researchers, Guides/Supervisors and Universities
🔹 Research management and institutional-level tracking
🔹 MoU-based onboarding and registration process
🔹 Navigation for scholars and guides
🔹 Integration with Shodhganga and access to full-text theses
🔹 Knowledge resources
🔹 Real-time research progress tracking

The session was conducted by Ms. Vinita Joshi, Speaker & Counter Assistant, with the valuable support of Dr. Aakanksha Kaushik, Deputy Librarian, USME DTU Library. Prof Amit Mookerjee Head USME and Mr. Rama Kant Shukla, Librarian, DTU Central Library were present alongwith faculty members and researchers.

DTU Central Library hosted an Exclusive Sage Workshop – “Enhancing Research Excellence with ONOS” on 7 August 2026.

The session introduced participants to the powerful features of Sage Journals, including scholarly literature discovery, advanced searching, full-text access, and research-support tools.

The Central Library of Delhi Technological University celebrated National Librarian Day on 14 August 2026, commemorating the birth anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, the Father of Library Science in India.

The Centre for Extension and Field Outreach, Delhi Technological University (DTU) organized an Open House Program on 5 August 2026 for the students of Sunny Convent School at DTU Central Library.

During the visit, students explored the learning environment of DTU Central Library, gaining insights into library resources, digital learning facilities, and the role of libraries in supporting education and research.

The program provided young learners with an opportunity to experience the academic ecosystem of DTU and encouraged them to pursue knowledge, innovation, and higher education.
