SAARC Disaster Management Centre (SDMC) was set up in October 2006 at the premises of National Institute of Disaster Management in New Delhi. The Centre has the mandate to serve eight Member Countries of South Asia Association of Regional Cooperation (SAARC) - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka - by providing policy advice and facilitating capacity buil

ding services including strategic learning, research, training, system development and exchange of information for effective disaster risk reduction and management in South Asia. The Centre is a sleek body of professionals working on various dimensions of disaster risk reduction and management in South Asia. The Centre is networking through the National Focal Points of the Member Countries with the various Ministries, Departments and Scientific, Technical, Research and Academic institutions within and outside the Government working on various aspects of disaster risk reduction and management. The Centre conducts studies and research, organizes workshops and training programmes, publishes its reports and documents provides various policy advisory services to the Member Countries.

2015 में एक बड़ा भूकंप काठमांडू में बढ़ी तबाही मचाई थी ।

9000 मौत ☠️ उस बाले भूकंप के वजह से हूआ था ।

दुनियाँ के 58 देश नेपाल का मदद करने आये थे।

मूझे सार्क डिसास्टर मैनेजमेंट सेंटर के तरफ से यहॉ जाने का मौक़ा मिला था ।

बहुत बढ़ी तबाही हूइ थी ।

बाहर के लोग आये, रीस्पौंस देकर चलें गये। कूछ फ़ंडिंग एजेंसियाँ यहॉ रीकंस्ट्रक्सन के लिए भी फ़ंडिंग किया ।

पर डिसास्टर के पहले बाला काम तो आपको ही करते रहना है। वरना जब भी आपदा आयेगी जान माल का नुक़सान करके जायेगी ।

मेरे हिसाब से भारत में आपदा से पहले बाला काम नाम मात्र का होता है । किसी भी जीले में चले जाईए वो NDRF/SDRF के भरोसे बैठे हैं।

कोई भी ज़िलाधिकारी अपने ज़िले के स्कूल, कौलेज, सिनेमा, मौल, होटल, होस्पीटल, उद्योग का आपदा प्रबंधन प्लान एक क्वालिफ़ाइड आपदा प्रबंधक के द्वारा बनाकर लागू नहीं करा रहा ।

शायद किसी बड़े आपदा का इंतज़ार कर कर रहे हैं..
