राष्ट्रीय हमाल पंचायत और गैर-संघीय श्रमिक संघ आपको 20 अक्टूबर सुबह ग्यारह बजे राजघाट से सचिवालय तक रैली में शामिल होने के लिए आमंत्रित करते हैं, ताकि हेड-लोड वर्कर्स के लिए न्याय सुनिश्चित करने के लिए दिल्ली मथाडी अधिनियम के अधिनियमन की मांग की जा सके।
हेडलोड वर्कर (पल्लेदार/हमाल/मथाड़ी) शारीरिक मजदूर होते हैं जो वाणिज्यिक सामानों की लोडिंग-अनलोडिंग का काम करते हैं और अपने सिर/पीठ पर भारी बोझ को एक जगह से दूसरी जगह ले जाते हैं और अक्सर अमानवीय परिस्थितियों में काम करते हैं और उन्हें उनके लिए बेहद कम पारिश्रमिक का भुगतान किया जाता है। श्रमिकों की सामाजिक और आर्थिक स्थिति में सुधार के लिए सरकारों द्वारा लगातार लापरवाही के कारण इन श्रमिकों को और हाशिए पर रखा गया है और मौजूदा श्रम कानूनों का उल्लंघन विशेष रूप से हेडलोड श्रमिकों से संबंधित दिल्ली में हर जगह प्रचलित है।
कचरा बीनने वालों की सामाजिक-आर्थिक स्थिति और भी दयनीय है क्योंकि वे असुरक्षित वातावरण में काम करते हैं, और पुलिस, नगरपालिका अधिकारियों और अन्य असामाजिक तत्वों द्वारा नियमित रूप से उत्पीड़न का सामना करते हैं।
इसलिए, दिल्ली के लाखों सिर-लोड श्रमिकों और कचरा बीनने वालों की दबाव की स्थिति को देखते हुए, उनकी कामकाजी परिस्थितियों में सुधार करने और उनके वैध अधिकारों का पता लगाने के लिए कुछ कड़े कदम उठाने की आवश्यकता है।
इस संदर्भ में, पीड़ित श्रमिकों ने अपनी मांगों को रखने और दिल्ली मथाडी अधिनियम को लागू करने के लिए सुबह ग्यारह बजे 20 अक्टूबर 2021 को राजघाट से नई सचिवालय, नई दिल्ली तक एक विशाल रैली का आयोजन किया है।

NATIONAL HAMAL PANCHAYAT AND NON UNIONIZED WORKERS UNION INVITE YOU TO JOIN THE RALLY ON 20 OCTOBER FROM RAJGHAT TO THE SECRETARIAT TO DEMAND THE ENACTMENT OF THE DELHI MATHADI ACT TO ENSURE JUSTICE FOR HEAD-LOAD WORKERS AND WASTE PICKERS
Headload workers (Palledars/Hamal/ Mathadi) are manual labourers who undertake loading-unloading work of commercial goods and carry heavy loads on their heads/backs from one place to the other and often work in inhuman conditions and are paid extremely low remuneration for their labour. These workers have been further marginalized due to the persistent negligence by successive Governments to improve the social and economic conditions of these workers and violations of existing labour laws particularly related to headload workers are prevalent everywhere in Delhi.
The socio-economic conditions of waste pickers are even more deplorable as they work in unsafe environments, and face regular harassment by the police, municipal authorities and other anti social elements.
Therefore, considering the pressing conditions of the lakhs of head-load workers and waste pickers of Delhi, it is the need of the hour to take some stringent measures to improve their working conditions and to ascertain their legitimate rights.
In this context, the aggrieved workers have organized a massive rally from Rajghat to New Secretariat, New Delhi on 20th October 2021 to place their demands and push for the Enactment of Delhi Mathadi Act.
