With a vision of becoming the harbinger of change & a catalyst of growth and development of the Indian automotive component industry, ACMA has acted as a protagonist in providing a condu

cive environment for the growth and development of this sector and voicing out the concerns of its members and the industry at large to the government. The vision 2020 of the auto component industry in the country extrapolates a phenomenal growth, four times from its current size of USD 26 billion to USD 110 billion. ACMA has successfully juxtaposed the collective interest of auto component industry with the key challenges faced, in front of the government. ACMA has been tirelessly working in creating awareness on access to capital, training programs for various SME’s pertaining to manufacturing and technology and has worked closely with Tier I & Tier II companies for garnering better outsourcing opportunities. The association has formulated regular interactions with various government departments and ministries on issues of policy formulation, exim & fiscal matters, industrial, transport, WTO, trade agreements & international trade policies. ACMA is involved in trade promotion through organizing national and international fairs, hosting trade delegations, buyer seller meets, participation in domestic & overseas automotive exhibitions, export promotion projects with international agencies. It has also taken the onus of generating better accessibility to quality & technology for the industry through the ACMA Centre for Technology (ACT). As a key take away for its members and the industry, ACMA also undertakes collection, dissemination and prognosis of authentic industry data. It undertakes research and publication on relevant areas of the auto component industry for its various stakeholders. It has ardently pursued the agenda of campaigning against counterfeiting & promotion of firm level competitiveness & shop floor best practices through seminars / conferences on Six Sigma, Kazen, TQM and HR. ACMA’s charter is to develop a globally competitive Indian Auto Component Industry and strengthen its role in national economic development to promote business through international alliances. Internationally this strategic alliance has been concretized by conceiving partnerships with counterpart associations worldwide and international bodies like UNIDO and UNO. ACMA felicitates member companies every year, through its national flagship award constituted for work undertaken in areas of quality & productivity, export, technology and manufacturing excellence, adjudicated by eminent jury comprising of CEO’s of various OEM’s. ACMA is inextricably linked with the auto component sector in India and hence paves the path for channelizing & establishing business contracts with the Indian Automotive Industry, fueling the impetus of growth for the entire automotive industry.
