MITHAPUR - As per the History, this place was named as Meethapur because in the ancient times, there was a Water Well in the middle of this village which used to have Sweet water. (This Well can still be seen in the premises of the Community hall near Main Meethapur Chowk). Mithapur has been divided into various Colonies including - Shri Colony, Shakti Vihar, Lakhpat colony Part 1,2 and 3, Om Naga
r, Sai Nagar, Harijan Basti, Sindhu Farm, Mithapur Village, Mithapur Extension, Ekta Vihar, etc. These colonies has got many inhabitants from Bihar, Uttaranchal, Bengal, and many other states due to the lowest prices for the self owned homes here. When the prices for even a small self owned home in the rest of Delhi is reaching the amount of 70-80 Lakhs INR, a similar home can be bought for just 30-35 Lakhs INR in Mithapur area. About the features, Mithapur has got a beautiful Canal running along with it (that I have updated in the profile picture), has a beautiful old Lake in the middle which was created by a Brick factory in the ancient times, a huge Government Senior Secondary School at the end.
