As of May 4th, 2020, there has been a further extension of the lockdown in India. In compliance with this new Order, the High Commission of Guyana in New Delhi has been partially functional and will continue to do so until further guidance from the Government of NCT Delhi. The table below provides an insight into the current operations in India:

In light of an Order issued on March 22nd, 2020 from the Government of NCT of Delhi, which notifies of a lockdown of the entire territorial jurisdiction from March 23rd -31st 2020, the High Commission of Guyana in New Delhi wishes to inform here-under of its operations during this period:

1. The Mission will remain closed, except for Thursday March 26th, 2020 and Tuesday March 31st, 2020 when it will be open during the first half of the day; and
2. There will be a suspension of Consular matters & Visa issuance until further notice.

Routine operations are expected to recommence on April 1, 2020 subject to clearance from the Government of NCT Delhi.
