We are receiving reports that the CUET UG exams scheduled today have been cancelled at various locations, such as Aadarsh Pariksha Kendra (NOIDA Sector 64). Thousands of students and parents have been affected by this mismanagement. With some centres failing to conduct exams, once again these exams will have to be reconducted for the interest of parity. Earlier, exams scheduled on 28 May clashing with Bakr Eid were postponed after pressure from student groups.

This complete failure to schedule and conduct exams once again highlights the need to Scrap NTA, a private outsourcing body that has led to repeated paper leaks (NEET PG 2026, UGC NET, CUET, BPSC etc). RSS BJP's push to centralise exams is another name for outsourcing exams to private companies like TCS etc which have repeatedly proved inefficient and prone to corruption.

We await further clarifications for the reasons for the exams being cancelled and a new exam schedule.

Condemn ABVP attack on UoH students and right wing harassment of Prof. VQueeram!

Stand strong against Hindutva attacks on academic freedoms!

On 3rd May, ABVP violently attacked students to disrupt performance of an anti-caste play at the University of Hyderabad. They broke lights, windows and vehicle glass, attacked campus security guards with beer bottles and tried to break into the women’s room.

The play, ‘Holi’, is a 1960s script written by Mahesh Elkunchwar, an acclaimed Marathi playwright. ABVP members objected to dialogues referring to “Sanskriti” and Brahmanism, and circulated messages calling “Karyakartas” to mobilise.

On 5th and 6th May, Prof. Vqueeram Aditya Sahai from Jindal Global University was targeted with misogynistic and transphobic harassment. An audio clip from their classroom was circulated to trigger an online trolling campaign while a group of right wing students gathered outside the Vice-Chancellor’s office to paint Prof. VQueeram as “anti-Hindu”.

We condemn ABVP’s repeated, violent attempts to curtail academic freedom on campus!
Classrooms are spaces of learning in which people must be free to speak their mind without fear.

The UoH and JGU administrations must take action against this violence and cheap intimidation tactics!

These are not isolated incidents. Prof. Virendra Balaji Shahare was suspended by the JMI admin for including a question on atrocities against minorities. Prof Seema Pawar was similarly removed Meerat University while Dr. Arjun Sengupta from TISS University and Dr. Snehashish Bhattacharya from SAU were removed for standing with students.

Why is ABVP so afraid of students and professors?
They know that real education will challenge the exploitative systems of caste, class and gender oppression that their Hindutva ideology is built on! They will collapse without it!

Campus democracy is a wave that will turn the foundation of Fascist-Hindutva forces into sand! Resist ABVP! Join the revolutionary student-youth movement!

Santosh, Mazdoor Patrika, spoke on the eve of May Day 2026, discussing the historic significance of the ongoing wave of workers strikes in breaking the pro-corporate consensus around "development" and the political possibilities of working class struggles.
