Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR/CEFIPRA), established in 1987, is a model for international collaborative research in advanced areas of Science & Technology. The Centre is supported by Department of Sciences & Technology, Government of India and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, Government of France. CEFIPRA is actively involved in supporting Indo-French Science, Technology & Innovation system by promoting linkages between academia and Industry and Academia from France and India. Capacity Building initiatives provide exposure to young researchers through mobility. Industries are encouraged to join hands with CEFIPRA in PPP mode in defined priority areas. CEFIPRA is involved in disseminating the information to Indo-French scientific communities. Over the years, CEFIPRA has evolved from a predominantly funding organization to an enabler, facilitator in catalysing & nurturing various programmes for scientists, entrepreneurs, innovators.
