“Around the table of the European Council, we finally have the right debates. We are looking around the world, seeing who is like us, who still believes in multilateralism, who can cooperate with us on the basis of respect and not force.

Who will not surprise us with terrorism one day, revoke them the next, and reinstall them the following day because we say something they do not like?

With whom in the world, and with which large economy, can we develop that kind of relationship?

Rahul Gandhi loves lecturing women about having an identity of their own. His party’s actions tell a very different story.

In Telangana, Minister Konda Surekha was removed from the Cabinet after her daughter publicly criticised CM Revanth Reddy. The Congress disciplinary machinery targeted Surekha for her daughter’s remarks, even though Surekha maintained that her daughter was an independent adult and that she could not be held responsible for her views.

And this was not happening in isolation. Surekha had already complained to Rahul Gandhi and other senior Congress leaders that she was being politically and administratively sidelined as a minister. Eleven days later, she was out of the Cabinet.

So much for Rahul Gandhi’s lectures on women’s empowerment.

When a woman asserts herself in Congress, she is expected to fall in line. When her daughter speaks, the mother pays the price.

This isn’t empowerment.

This is Congress hypocrisy in plain sight.
