Project MARHAM

Aim: To pick up some young homeless Men and Women from the Streets and adopt them, change their life and make them a part of the Society by making them self dependent. Step by Step projected process

Stage 1 (Selection)
We will talk to homeless men and women seen on the streets for few days, analyze their psychology and filter out those who are willing to live a respectful normal l

ife. Stage2 (Food, Shelter, Cleanliness and Medical Treatment)
We will bring these selected brothers and sisters to our hostel wherein they will be given free food and shelter on the condition that they will have to take shower every morning and brush their teeth twice a day. A supervisor will keep a record of how regularly they are following these cleanliness conditions. Proper feedback with respect and love will be given to those who do not follow the routine. We will provide them with separate Soaps, Shampoos, Towels, Undergarments, toothbrush and toothpastes. For about a month, we will only work on their cleanliness and make them hygienically clean. In this stage itself, we will invite doctors to visit the hostel and do proper check up of their health and provide necessary treatment when required. In this stage, we will form a team of members who will be visiting the hostel at decided timings and talk to them to give them moral healing. Stage 3. (Vocational Training)
After a month or two, we will find out their capabilities and start vocational training of these brothers. To some of them we will provide intensive training of plumbing, carpentry and Electrician. If later we think about any other profession, we will add that training in our project. We will pay the trainers some amount for teaching them these skills. Apart from this, a new service will be started known as Local Home Delivery Service. We will provide a facility to the local residents of Home delivery service. After taking a annual membership, any resident would be allowed to call us and get anything delivered to their home. Be it a single Roti or a pack of Disprine or monthly Ration. Each member will be allowed to call for maximum 3 deliveries a day. Stage 4 (Employment Generation)
Once they are fully trained, we will print pamphlets and distribute them all over Delhi stating that ‘Whosoever requires a Plumber, A Carpenter, An Electrician can contact a single phone number and the required professional will be sent to your home within a given timeframe. This way, these brothers will start getting work. Whatever money they bring in, will be deposited in the account of the brother. A caller’s position will be created who will sit in the hostel to receive calls, write down the requirement and assign them to these brothers in a Que. He will also update the records for them on the Computer. At the end of the day, one of the callers will call all the households again to take the feedback for our brothers and rate them from 1-10. Based on the monthly feedback score, some cash incentives will be given to those who will have maximum feedback score. This will encourage them to work with honesty for Customer satisfaction. Stage5 (Documentation)
We will create their bank accounts, Aadhaar cards, Voter’s cards and other required ID proves. The money they earn will be deposited in their bank accounts. Stage 6 (Relieving Them In The Society)
After 18 months, once they become clean and self dependent, we will give them the money they have saved and tell them to find a house on rent (we will help them in finding one) and live in this society with respect. We will help them to get married and live a social life. They will be allowed to continue working in MARHAM to continue their earning. We will also ask them to help us change life of other brothers now just like how their was changed.
