The Scouts Guides Organisation
The Scouts Guides Organisation invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the following states.
1. Delhi
2. Uttar Pradesh
3. Uttarakhand
4. Arunachal Pradesh
5. Manipur
1. Essential Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements:
1. Age Limit: The candidate's age should not exceed 35 years as on the last date of application. (Age relaxation for reserved categories as per government norms).
2. Educational Qualification: A candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) from a recognized University/Institution.
3. Scouting/Guiding Background: Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable experience and certification in the Scout/Guide movement. Holding a Trained Scout/Guide Leader certificate or equivalent is highly desirable.
4. Language Proficiency: Fluency in the official state language (Hindi for Delhi, UP, Uttarakhand; specific languages for Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur) and English is mandatory.
5. Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer operation is required.
2. Key Responsibilities
The Officer on Special Duty will be responsible for:
I. Supervising day-to-day administrative and logistical tasks within the state unit.
Coordinating various Scouting/Guiding programs, camps, and training activities.
II. Maintaining records, preparing reports, and managing communication with District and National Headquarters.
III. Assisting in membership drive and promotion of the Scout/Guide movement at the grassroots level.
IV. Liaoning with local government bodies, schools, and NGOs.
3. Selection Process
The selection will be based on:
1. Scrutiny of Applications: Shortlisting based on eligibility and essential criteria.
2. Written Examination/Assessment: (If applicable, specific details will be communicated to shortlisted candidates).
3. Interview: Personal interview to assess suitability, knowledge, and experience.
