3rd Pay Revision: The Government confirms that the 3rd Pay Revision of BSNL employees has not been implemented.
Effective date sought: The issue relates to pay revision with effect from 01.01.2017.
Main reason: BSNL does not meet the affordability criteria prescribed by the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE).
Affordability ceiling: Under the DPE guidelines, the additional financial impact of the revised pay package should not exceed 20% of the average Profit Before Tax (PBT) of the preceding three financial years.
