From classrooms to the columns of the NIE Student Edition—our young scientists are making headlines!

We are delighted to share that the 32nd Edition of International Conference of Young Scientists: ICYS 2026, hosted by our school from 19 April to 24 April 2026, has been featured in the NIE Student Edition dated 28th April.

This event was a remarkable celebration of innovation, intellect, and international camaraderie. With participation from over 100 delegates from 17 countries, the event became a vibrant platform for exchanging ideas and exploring the theme “Real Minds, Real Intelligence.”

Students showcased exceptional research across disciplines, engaged in meaningful discussions, and built connections that transcended borders. The cultural exchanges and collaborative spirit added colour and depth to this global experience.

The Hindustan Scouts and Guides organised a three-day Rajya Puraskar Testing Camp at Lovely Public School, Priyadarshini Vihar. Eleven proud students from our school, accompanied by Ms. Baljeet and Mr. Rajan, took part in this prestigious state-level assessment.

The Rajya Puraskar Testing Camp is a key milestone for Scouts and Guides aspiring to earn the esteemed Rajya Puraskar Award. Over three rigorous days, our students were tested on core scouting skills — knotting, map reading, compass navigation, first aid, marching, and parade drills. They also appeared for a theory test covering the history of scouting, scout laws and promises, and were inspected for regular turnout and discipline.

Our young scouts showcased dedication, teamwork, and true scout spirit as examiners evaluated their overall performance. Success in this camp makes them eligible for the Rajya Puraskar Award — a proud step forward in their scouting journey.

We salute their perseverance and wish them the very best!

Classes IV and V launched an inspiring journey of ideas and expression with a vibrant TED Talk session on the thought-provoking theme “AI vs Human”.

Three confident speakers from each section took the stage, sharing original and sincere perspectives on technology, values, and the balance between the two. What truly stood out was not just their articulate views, but how attentively they listened and learned from one another.

It was more than a talk — it was a meaningful exchange of ideas, empathy, and insight. Our young speakers proved that the future isn’t just about AI or humans, but about both thinking together.

Our Nursery and KG stars had a splash of red and joy during their fun-filled Show-and-Tell session! Dressed in bright red attire, the little learners brought colour and excitement to every corner of the classroom.

With tiny hands and big enthusiasm, they coloured adorable ladybug pictures, showing off their creativity and fine motor skills. To make the day extra special, each child took home a charming pinwheel ladybug — a sweet keepsake of their happy moments.

From colouring to sharing, it was a perfect blend of creativity, confidence, and cheerful learning. Our youngest ones truly turned it into a red-letter day!

Our Primary Wing celebrated Baisakhi with colour, creativity, and culture. Students discovered the significance of this vibrant harvest festival and its importance in Punjabi and Sikh traditions through joyful, hands-on activities.

Classrooms buzzed with energy as young learners crafted Baisakhi scenes, folded origami kites, designed glittering paper fans, and built festive dhols from paper cups and golden lace. They explored Punjab’s rich heritage through Phulkari-inspired bookmarks, learning to appreciate intricate patterns, bright colours, and the patience behind traditional art.

The celebrations came alive with festive songs, lively Punjabi beats, and happy dancing, as students proudly showcased their creations. More than just crafts, the day was a beautiful blend of tradition, learning, and togetherness — a true reflection of Baisakhi’s spirit of gratitude and new beginnings.

We took the international delegates of ICYS 2026 for an enriching Delhi Sightseeing Tour, blending history, culture, and camaraderie.

The journey began at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum, where delegates explored the life, leadership, and legacy of India’s first woman Prime Minister. At Gandhi Smriti, they reflected on Mahatma Gandhi’s enduring message of peace and non-violence. The architectural splendour and tranquil ambience of the Lotus Temple left a lasting impression, while Dilli Haat immersed them in India’s vibrant crafts, flavours, and folk traditions.

More than a tour, the day became a celebration of intercultural friendship and shared learning. Through Delhi’s heritage, our young scientists discovered the spirit of India — diverse, welcoming, and timeless.

At St. Mark’s, we believe true education extends beyond classrooms. This Delhi Darshan was our way of extending warmth, creating connections, and giving our global ICYS family memories to cherish forever.
