RLDA Issues First-Ever Bid for a 500-Bed Super-Speciality Hospital at Jaipur under PPP Mode.

🏥 In a landmark initiative, Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has issued its first-ever Request for Proposal (RFP) for development, operation and maintenance of a 500-bed Super-Speciality Hospital at Jaipur on Railway land under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

The project aims to bring world-class healthcare infrastructure on the lines of leading tertiary-care institutions such as Medanta, Max, Apollo and Fortis, while creating a sustainable source of long-term non-fare revenue for Indian Railways.

Key Highlights:

✅ 500-bed state-of-the-art Super-Speciality Hospital.
✅ Development on Railway land through PPP mode.
✅ 25% operational beds reserved for Railway beneficiaries with priority access to treatment.
✅ OPD, diagnostics and healthcare services for Railway employees, pensioners and beneficiaries.
✅ Long-term partnership model ensuring high-quality healthcare delivery and asset monetisation.

This pioneering initiative marks the beginning of RLDA’s vision to develop a nationwide network of modern healthcare facilities on Railway land, creating both social and economic value for Indian Railways and the communities it serves.

📍 Following Jaipur, RLDA plans to invite similar bids within the next month for Super-Speciality Hospitals at Varanasi, Jammu, New Jalpaiguri, Visakhapatnam and Adra.

Chairman and CEO Railway Board, Sh. Satish Kumar and Member Infrastructure, Sh. Vivek kumar Gupta, Member (Traction & Rolling Stock), Sh. R. Rajagopal, Member (Finance), Ms. Manjusha Jain & DG(Safety), Sh. Hitendra Malhotra & DG (Railway Health Services) Dr. Jagdish Chandra, Railway Board, and Vice Chairman, RLDA, Sh. Manoj Garg motivated RLDA’s meritorious officers on the occasion of Annual Day 2026 held on 22.05.2026.

Shri Pervesh Kumar was felicitated for successfully delivering landmark projects in Bengaluru and Chennai. He played a key role in RLDA’s first 25-storey residential tower at Bengaluru, the tallest Railway staff quarters tower with Basement + Ground + 24 floors, built using Mivan technology for the first time in Indian Railways. The project achieved superior construction quality with an impressive 12-day floor slab cycle and branded fittings in staff quarters. The tower is now ready for inauguration.

He also contributed to the successful commissioning of the ICF–Padi Commercial Mall, Chennai, now housing Pothys Padi, one of India’s largest retail showrooms spread across nearly 5 lakh sq. ft., transforming railway land into a landmark commercial destination.

VC/RLDA Shri Manoj Garg, along with Member Projects Shri Anand Singh and CPM/ND3 Shri Gaurav, conducted a detailed site inspection of the proposed Holding Area locations at Anand Vihar and Old Delhi Railway Station.

The inspection comes following the successful development and operationalization of the Holding Area at New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS), which has significantly contributed towards improved passenger movement and crowd management. During the visit, the officials reviewed the planned infrastructure and passenger facilities for these important railway hubs.

With a continued focus on modern infrastructure development, RLDA remains committed to transforming railway spaces through efficient planning, passenger-centric facilities, and world-class redevelopment initiatives across Indian Railways.

Proud moment for RLDA.

Wonderful address by Shri Satish Kumar, Chairman & CEO, Railway Board, on the Annual Day of RLDA.

He appreciated RLDA for its speed of working, quality delivery and solution-oriented approach. He noted that RLDA never says “no” to any work; instead, it finds practical ways to take things forward.
He congratulated RLDA for achieving its highest-ever bid award of over ₹10,000 crore, which is more than four times its best performance in any previous year since inception.

He also highlighted that works which require focused and time-bound ex*****on are being entrusted to RLDA, and RLDA undertakes them with full earnestness. Wherever required, RLDA also supports and trains Zonal Railways for ex*****on of such works.

In his message, he appreciated RLDA’s contribution in station redevelopment, commercial development of railway land, colony redevelopment, passenger amenities, self-development of assets, Integrated Station Facility Management and long-term value creation.

His words that “the best is yet to come” are a great motivation for Team RLDA. Indian Railways is looking forward to even greater performance from RLDA in the coming year.

DG/IRITM, Shri Ranjan Prakash Thakur visited Gomtinagar Railway Station, where the site team briefed him on the redevelopment works of the station being carried out by RLDA. He appreciated the architectural design and elegance in the work.

He also expressed confidence in RLDA’s capability to develop world-class infrastructure including world class training infrastructure at IRITM. He advised the team to plan iconic structures on similar lines for other projects.

Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Garg, Executive Director (Station Development), Railway Board, undertook a site visit to the Ahmedabad Railway Station redevelopment project on 29th April 2026 to review the progress of ongoing works.

During the visit, he had a technical discussions on the design aspect of the project and later on inspected the Station Air Concourse, Elevated Road, and the Multi-Modal Transport Hub (MMTH) building. Very minutely he inspected the er****on work in progress from various aspects of design considerations and its adherence at the site.He also inspected the Multimodal Transport Hub (MMTH) building and checked the ongoing work of er****on, deck concreting and overall progress.

The visit reflects RLDA’s consistent approach towards developing railway infrastructure in a structured and passenger-centric manner with high quality and safety.

During the visit, he reviewed the progress of the project and inspected various components of the projects like the T6 Parcel Building, Station Air Concourse, and the Multimodal Transport Hub (MMTH) building. He interacted with the project team, emphasizing the importance of maintaining quality standards with a continued focus on safety at work site and convenience to the passengers.
