Strengthening partnerships with neighbouring countries!

A delegation from the Royal Government of Bhutan visited Land Port Rupaidiha to observe infrastructure, stakeholder coordination, and operational systems under LPAI. The visit included detailed presentations, stakeholder interactions, and a guided tour of the port.

The delegation also visited the counterpart Land Port on the Nepal side, where interactions were held with Customs and terminal officials to understand cross-border coordination and operational mechanisms.

organised a Workshop on Gender Sensitisation at Land Port Golakganj, Assam. Dr. Rekha Raikar Kumar, Member (Finance), LPAI delivered the Welcome Address virtually, followed by welcome remarks by Chief Guest Shri Upendra Rai, DIG SHQ Dhubri.

The workshop featured 5 sessions on Gender Sensitisation, POSH, Mental Health, Anti-Human Trafficking & Gender Mainstreaming, with participation from BSF, Customs & stakeholders, strengthening awareness, safety & coordination.

A plantation drive was also organised, symbolising growth & collaboration. The initiative reflects LPAI’s commitment to inclusive workplaces and sustainable development.

A delegation from UNESCAP visited Land Port Darranga and held interactions with stakeholders from India and Bhutan, including traders and Customs officials.
