Another old soul rescued from the streets of Saket today. 💔

Meet Budha, an elderly dog suffering from a severe maggot infestation. The pain he must have endured is heartbreaking.

Budha has been picked up and admitted to Dr Paw Veterinary Clinic, GK-2, where his treatment has now started. 🙏

His recovery will require wound cleaning, dressings, medicines and continued medical care.

Gunda — Treatment Day 2 ❤️‍🩹

Day 2 of Gunda’s treatment, and he still has a long road ahead.

The dead maggots have been removed, but the wound is deep, badly infected and extremely painful. Even after the cleaning, Gunda is still struggling with the pain.

His treatment will continue with antibiotics, wound care and regular cleaning until the wound finally starts drying and healing. This is not going to be a quick recovery — Gunda will need a long stay at the clinic.

Fortunately his blood reports are normal.

We are doing everything we can to help him, but we need your support to keep his treatment going.

Please Help Us Save Gunda 🐾

For the last 8 years, Gunda has been a familiar face in Nehru Place. He has been jointly cared for by Each One Feed One and me, and over the years, he has become much more than a street dog — he is family. ❤️

Gunda is an old boy and is already battling a heart enlargement issue. Despite his age and health condition, he has always been a gentle and loving soul.

Recently, Gunda met with a horrific accident. It appears that a car ran over his paw, leaving his paw badly torn and injured. By the time he was rescued, the wound had become severely infested with maggots, causing him immense pain. 💔

We couldn’t leave him to suffer.

Gunda has now been admitted to Dr Paw Veterinary Clinic, where his treatment is currently underway. He needs wound care, medicines, dressings and close medical monitoring.

Estimated treatment cost: ₹20,000

We are raising ₹20,000 to help cover Gunda’s medical expenses. Any contribution, however small, can make a difference.

🐾 Chess Update ❤️

Chess is stable and has been discharged. 🐶❤️

He will continue oral medication for 14 days to help improve his haemoglobin and blood parameters, including aRBC syrup and platelet-support medication as prescribed by the vet.

We’re hoping and praying that Chess continues to gain strength and makes a complete recovery. 🙏🐾

Chess Update 🐾❤️

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been praying for and supporting Chess.

We’re relieved to share that Chess is stable now and has started eating, which is a positive sign. He continues to remain under close medical observation while we await his RT-PCR test report to confirm the exact cause of his condition and begin the most appropriate treatment.

So far, ₹6,500 has been raised, and we are deeply grateful for every contribution. Your support has helped us provide him with immediate medical care.

EMERGENCY APPEAL: HELP US SAVE CHESS 🐾

Today, we received a distressed call from a security guard about Chess, a loving community dog who was bleeding heavily from his nose. We immediately brought him from Nehru Place to a Dr Paw veterinary clinic in GK-1, where he could receive urgent medical attention.

On examination, Chess had a fever of over 102°F and persistent nose bleeding. The doctor immediately ran blood tests, which showed very low platelet levels, a worrying finding that required further investigation.

The vet suspects tick fever, and an RT-PCR test has been sent. We are now waiting for the reports while Chess remains under observation and receives the care he needs to stay comfortable and stable.

I and Each One Feed One jointly takes care of chess along with other dogs in Nehru Place.

Chess has always been a gentle soul, and today he needs our kindness more than ever.

His medical expenses—including diagnostics, treatment, medicines, and follow-up care—are increasing, and we would be deeply grateful for any support you can offer.

No amount is too small. Every contribution brings us one step closer to helping Chess recover.

Dear Julie,

You came to us in 2020 already carrying a past, and somehow you still learned how to trust, how to love, and how to belong. Being a rescued dog meant your life began with second chances, with kindness chosen for you when you needed it most. You were saved because you mattered—and you proved that every single day. You learned to trust, to feel joy, and to respond to kindness with the softest wag of your tail.

Three months back you met with an accident, bringing pain and struggle that no one should have to endure.

I watched you suffer, and it broke my heart to see you in pain. For three long months, you fought so bravely, enduring struggles no one should have to face. Even when your little body ached, your spirit remained gentle and trusting. Every moment I could comfort you, every word, every touch—I hope you felt the love that surrounded you.

Now it’s time for you to rest, sweet Julie. Free from pain, free from fear, free to run and play in fields of peace. I will never forget you. I will always love you. You were my brave little soul and I am so grateful to have known you, to have cared for you, and to have been loved by you.
