India’s seafood exports reached a historic milestone of ₹73,890 crore in FY 2025–26, reflecting the growing strength of the nation’s marine sector and its expanding footprint in global markets. This record achievement underscores the resilience, quality, and competitiveness of India’s seafood industry.
Powering this success were three key maritime gateways, Visakhapatnam Port (Vizag), Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT), and Kochi Port. Serving as vital links between India’s coastal economies and international buyers, these ports played a pivotal role in moving record volumes of seafood exports, reinforcing India’s position as a leading seafood exporter and a rising force in the Blue Economy.
