One of the biggest threats is th
e penetration of disease in rural areas and slums. Seeing this, ZMQ has recently set up a ‘ZMQ COVID Relief Fund’ to support semi-functional health centres and hospitals to meet ever-growing challenges. For this, ZMQ has set up a dedicated account for transparency. The purpose of this fund is to procure immediate essential goods for COVID relief. Located just 100 kms from Delhi, Mewat is the most backward district of India. As per Niti Aayog, Mewat lies at the bottom of list of aspirational districts of India. The current positivity rate of Mewat is 65% which is the highest in any of the districts of NCR Delhi. Mewat health department is setting up 450 COVID beds in 5 CHCs/PHCs (semi-functional health centres) in extreme remote blocks like Punhana, Nagina and Firozpur Jhirka. ZMQ’s objective is to raise funds to procure essential goods to set up and support 450 COVID beds in Mewat. Unfortunately, a lot of relief material is being sold at very high prices in the market. We are also accepting essential goods like patient beds, mattresses, bedsheets (disposable), pillow foams, pillow covers (disposable), bedside lockers, dressing trolleys, examination tables, pulse oximeters, contactless thermometers, and disposables like masks, globes, head covers, shoe covers etc. ZMQ will be happy to issue 80G Certificates to every donor for tax exemption.
