After obtaining our multipurpose and attractive BJED-membership card/certificate, members can benefit from the vast reach and expertise that BJED executive and elective body has to offer. The latest government budget brings a wave of enthusiasm and positivity with significant reductions in customs duties on gold and silver, from 15% to 6%. This monumental change means substantial savings for both jewelers and customers, with an expected benefit of ₹5000 per 10 grams of gold!

In addition, the abolition of 2% equalisation levy on sales of rough diamonds makes high-quality jewelry more accessible to everyone. The budget also promotes technology and innovation, paving the way for a brighter future and creating numerous job opportunities in our industry.

As Rakesh Verma, National President of the Bharat Jewellery Export and Domestic Council, says, "This budget has provided a new direction to our industry by addressing our long-standing demands and strengthening the economic condition of the entire country. It is truly an excellent and visionary budget."
