Faster clearances, Faster connections – Accelerating

Sh. Kamal Kishore Soan, AS&MD–NJJM, chaired a virtual review meeting today to expedite pending clearances for JJM projects. The meeting focused on resolving inter-ministerial issues related to approvals from MoEFCC, Railways, and NHAI, with participation from officials of the concerned Ministries.

Emphasis was laid on:
1. Fast-tracking pending clearances;
2. Strengthening inter-ministerial coordination;
3. Ensuring timely implementation of JJM projects. etc

This initiative is expected to accelerate project ex*****on and further strengthen efforts towards achieving Har Ghar Jal across the country.

गुजरात की धरती पर जल सुरक्षा के जिस विज़न ने आकार लिया, वह आज पूरे राष्ट्र के लिए प्रेरणा बनकर जनभागीदारी और समावेशी विकास का प्रतीक बन चुका है।

इस अवसर पर आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री के दूरदर्शी नेतृत्व, अटूट संकल्प और राष्ट्रहित के प्रति समर्पित सेवाभाव को नमन करता हूँ। उनके मार्गदर्शन में विकसित भारत के संकल्प को साकार करने की यात्रा निरंतर आगे बढ़ रही है।

जल है तो कल है और जनकल्याण सुशासन का सर्वोच्च लक्ष्य है।

Sh. Ashok K K Meena, Secretary, DDWS chaired a joint meeting on 27th May 2026 to review and deliberate on the proposed impact study of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen (SBM-G) being undertaken by UNICEF.

The meeting brought together representatives from key line Ministries, including Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Women & Child Development, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, to discuss programme implementation, inter-sectoral linkages, data availability, and evidence frameworks for assessing the health, nutrition, and socio-economic impacts of JJM and SBMG.

The meeting was attended by UNICEF India representatives along with International Consultant engaged by UNICEF in the discussions and shared perspectives on global evidence and methodological approaches for impact evaluation.
