Dehradun stands at a crucial juncture where rapid urbanisation, environmental pressures and civic challenges demand visionary yet practical leadership. The newly appointed Municipal Commissioner Mr. Alok Pandey has set realistic and achievable priorities for the city - a much-needed approach rooted in planning, determination and an understanding of Dehradun’s unique geography nestled in the foothills of the Shivalik ranges.

From restoring rivers and ravines affected by silt and encroachment, to protecting forests under constant pressure from unplanned urban expansion, the challenges before the city administration are immense.
