Aasraa Trust Aasraa is an educational trust established in 2009, working towards empowering underserved children.

For the past 13 years, Aasraa has worked with society’s most underprivileged and vulnerable children from the streets and slums of Dehradun. It is not just a charity but a vehicle for empowerment through education, skills training, nutrition, healthcare and shelter homes. Starting with street-level mobilization, Aasraa uses a multi-faceted approach that prepares children for mainstream education a

nd transition to higher studies & skills training. Aasraa is certified by the National Institute of Open Schooling and works with the Education Department of Uttarakhand to improve the quality of education at 9 government schools. Aasraa has built shelters for orphaned, abandoned, abused and special needs children.

Congratulations to Himanshu for his outstanding performance, leadership, and dedication to helping fellow participants. A former resident of Aasraa’s shelter home, Himanshu completed Class 12 and is now pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with Aasraa’s continued support. His CPR skills and commitment to learning earned special recognition from the trainers.

'Rise against the storm, and you will fly toward the sunshine'. The words on this little one's T-shirt may not be perfect, but the meaning is powerful.

This smile belongs to a child who faces storms most of us can’t imagine in the form of Illiteracy, poverty, and the absence of a safe, nurturing environment to truly grow.
