Bodhi – Inclusive Skilling Center Launched
As part of its ongoing commitment to inclusive care for “Children with Special Needs (CWSN)”, Dehradun based CSO “Society for Inclusive Development (SFID)” inaugurated the Bodhi Inclusive Skilling Center today at Green Field School. The launch was graced by several dignitaries, advisory board members, special educators, and parents of children with special needs.
The Bodhi Center is a significant step forward in inclusive education, communication, and skill development. It aims to empower CWSN through personalized vocational training and life skills development. “Our focus is on equipping these children with the tools they need to lead independent and fulfilling lives,” said Project Lead Shubhang Jaggi.
The center is already operational and offering early identification and intervention using AI-based tools and applications developed by Kidaura Software. It also provides a range of therapies tailored to the needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other neurodevelopmental conditions & delays.
Recently Team BODHI was invited to Nairobi/Kenya to showcase their work on “Disability, Inclusion and Technology (assistive technology).
Currently, the Bodhi Inclusive Care Center offers a range of specialized services, including Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech Therapy, Yoga, Music, Dance, Sports, and Physiotherapy and working with US, Europe and Japan based organizations/groups.
As part of the inauguration ceremony, a vibrant cultural program was presented by the children with Spl. Needs . Their creativity, joy, and confidence left the audience deeply moved and inspired.

BODHI- Inclusive Care Centre and Green Field School Observe .

In meaningful observance of ( ), students from – and , accompanied by their parents and , visited the Regional Office, , of the National Career Service Centre for the , under the Ministry of Labour & Employment ( ).
The group received a warm welcome from Dr. Jainindra Kumar, Deputy Director of the Centre, and Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh, Rehabilitation Officer, who shared insights into the Centre’s ongoing vocational training programs and welfare schemes aimed at empowering persons with disabilities.
“Our focus is on through and ,” said Dr. Kumar remarked during an interactive session with the .
Officials from the Directorate General of Employment further explained the processes for training and national registration of differently abled individuals. They also discussed how the Centre assesses candidates to determine their eligibility for job-oriented or self-employment training programs.
The visit reflects BODHI’s mission to build inclusive and empowering pathways for children with special needs. Operating its pilot centre from Green Field School—an inclusive school in Dehradun—BODHI currently supports 35+ children, many of whom have intellectual disabilities.
“Although therapy and sensitive care have shown promising results, the biggest hurdle remains creating meaningful employment opportunities,” said Shubhang, Team Lead at BODHI, an initiative of the leading CSO, Society for Inclusive Development (SFID).

In its ongoing efforts to promote equal , BODHI is collaborating with IT companies and experts in AI and Robotics to develop assistive technological applications/tools that foster an for . Alongside therapy and skill-building, BODHI offers and family/caregiver support services, focusing on holistic development and long-term self-reliance.
The visit underscored the growing need for cross-sector collaboration among educational institutions, government agencies, and technology innovators to ensure sustainable and inclusive livelihoods for ( ).

After 15+ years of dedicated work in inclusion & accessibility, we at the “Society for Inclusive Development (SFID)” are proud to launch BODHI (inspired by the Sanskrit word for awakening) – our first Inclusive Care Centre, Dehradun/Uttarakhand.
Initially supported by ONGC Ltd. (a maharatna PSU) under its CSR framework and powered by our expert network of with GO/NGOs, Academia & Tech partners, BODHI aims to build a complete Inclusive Eco-System—offering therapy, counselling, training, skill-building, employment support, and inclusive community programs. With special educators, therapists, assistive tech tools (AI & Robotics), we’re reimagining care for CWSN.
