Through activities like *जोड़ो तो जानो*, *Find My Partner*, *Odd One Out*, *Abacus fun* and *Find the Differences*, our tiny minds enhanced their logical thinking, observation skills, concentration, numeracy, and problem-solving abilities — all while learning with smiles and excitement.

A Step Towards Safer Roads: National Road Safety Month Awareness Program and Prize Distribution

DAV Public School observed National Road Safety Month from 1st January to 31st January, in alignment with the nationwide initiative led by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The month long observance aimed to raise awareness about traffic rules, reduce road accidents, and promote safer road habits among students and the community.
As part of the Road Safety Month celebrations, the school organized various awareness activities. A Slogan Writing Competition was conducted for students of Classes III, V, VII, and XI, while a Poster Making Competition was organized for Classes IV, VI, VIII, and IX. These activities encouraged students to creatively express their understanding of road safety through impactful slogans and visually appealing posters.
The celebrations concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, held today in the school premises, with the support of Reliance Industries. The ceremony was graced by Mr. Mohana Rao Limmakha, General Manager, Reliance Industries, along with Mr. Saumitra Garge and Mr. Krishna Pratap Yadav. Their esteemed presence inspired the students and strengthened the message of road safety awareness.
The dignitaries were felicitated with planters by Mr. Ujjwal Bhattacharya and Mr. Rohit Sharma, as a token of gratitude and appreciation.

Live presentation of Types of Angles by students of class 6 & 7
Students actively formed and demonstrated zero, acute, right, obtuse and straight angles, turning abstract concepts into clear visual learning. The drill helped strengthen understanding through movement, coordination, and teamwork.

Veer Baal Diwas is a day of reverence, dedicated to remembering the sacrifice of the brave Sahibzades. We recall the unshakeable faith of Mata Gujri Ji and the immortal teachings of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.”

DAV Public School, Defence Colony, Dehradun observed Veer Bal Diwas on 26th December 2025.

The programme was graced by former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and Hon’ble MP from Haridwar, Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat, as the Chief Guest.

He inspired students to draw strength from the supreme sacrifice, unwavering courage, and patriotism of the Sahibzadas, reminding them that this day is not just for remembrance but for learning and action.

Addressing the students, Shri Rawat urged them to remain steadfast in adversity, work with dedication, and always place nation before self, following the ideals of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. His presence filled everyone with pride and enthusiasm.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Mrs. Shalini Samadhiya, along with the Chief Guest.
Students presented a soulful classical dance depicting Panchatatva and the sanctity of Yajna, accompanied by Vedic chants, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
On this occasion students who secured first positions in various prestigious inter-school dance competitions were felicitated with certificates and trophies.

In her address, Madam Principal Shalini Samadhiya encouraged students to uphold the values of discipline, hard work, and moral integrity, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest.

The event concluded with a solemn tribute to the four Sahibzadas of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, honouring their immortal sacrifice and inspiring young minds towards patriotism, values, and duty.

With folded hands and innocent hearts, the students of class Nursery to II at DAV Public School observed Veer Bal Diwas, remembering the unmatched bravery and supreme sacrifice of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji.
Through simple stories, drawings, prayers, and expressions, our little children learned that courage has no age and that standing for truth and faith is the greatest strength of all.
Their tiny voices and sincere gestures reflected deep respect and gratitude for the young martyrs whose sacrifice continues to inspire generations.
This emotional observance planted the seeds of bravery, compassion, and strong values in young minds — a tribute from little souls to great heroes 🙏✨
