*Foundation Stone Laid for Way‑Side Amenities under REAP | Mussoorie*

As part of the Gramotthan Project /REAP , the foundation stone for Way‑Side Amenities near Bhatta Fall, Mussoorie has been laid.

The initiative aims to strengthen rural livelihoods by linking tourism with local enterprise. The project will be managed by Self‑Help Groups (SHGs), ensuring women’s participation in operations, skill development, and income generation.

- Project cost: ₹100.09 lakh, to be completed within 9 months
- Operated & managed by SHG women, fostering livelihood security
- Focus on sustainable tourism facilities, local product promotion & economic independence
- Active involvement of Veerangana CLF and community institutions

Way‑Side Amenities will serve as a model of women’s empowerment and local economic development. By connecting tourism with SHG‑led enterprises, we strengthen income opportunities and contribute to the Lakhpati Didi mission.

Under the Jan‑Jan ki Sarkar, Jan‑Jan ke Dwar campaign, a multipurpose camp was held at Khairi Mansingh with participation of Hon’ble CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.

- Water Supply: Villages linked to Song Dam DPR for assured drinking water
- Education: Demolition of unsafe school buildings & boundary wall construction sanctioned
- Agriculture & Livelihoods: 77 farmers benefitted with tools, seeds & PM Kisan support; 26 livestock owners received medicines
- Infrastructure: Demands for flood protection walls, irrigation channels & rural road repairs taken up

Project Nanda‑Sunanda | Empowering Girls Through Education

On the first day of the new year, District Administration Dehradun revived the education of 4 girls with support of ₹1.55 lakh under Project Nanda‑Sunanda.

- Till date, 93 girls’ education has been restored with assistance of ₹33.50 lakh across 11 editions.
- Support extended to daughters facing hardships — loss of parents, disability, or financial crisis.

Circumstances should never stop meritorious girls from pursuing education. With courage and determination, they must continue their journey, and the administration will stand by them.
