आज दिनांक 17 मई 2026 को महानगर कांग्रेस कमेटी, देहरादून द्वारा डॉ जसविंदर सिंह गोगी महानगर अध्यक्ष केंद्र की भाजपा सरकार के खिलाफ एश्लेहॉल चौक पर जोरदार विरोध प्रदर्शन करते हुए भाजपा सरकार का पुतला दहन किया गया।

कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं ने केंद्र सरकार द्वारा विधानसभा चुनाव समाप्त होते ही पेट्रोल एवं डीज़ल के दामों में भारी वृद्धि किए जाने को जनविरोधी निर्णय बताते हुए इसका कड़ा विरोध किया। वक्ताओं ने कहा कि लगातार बढ़ती महंगाई से आम जनता पहले ही परेशान है और अब पेट्रोल-डीज़ल के दाम बढ़ाकर मोदी सरकार ने जनता पर अतिरिक्त आर्थिक बोझ डालने का काम किया है।
भाजपा सरकार जनता की समस्याओं से पूरी तरह बेपरव केवल पूंजीपतियों को लाभ पहुंचाने का कार्य कर रही है, जबकि आम आदमी महंगाई की मार झेलने को मजबूर है।
