Commemorating the 80th Independence Day at Borkhola ICDS Project, Cachar, Assam! 🇮🇳

The Office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Borkhola ICDS Project, celebrated India's 80th Independence Day with immense patriotism, community spirit, and pride through a series of meaningful events:

August 13: Har Ghar Tiranga & UnityOur dedicated staff enthusiastically participated in the campaign. Everyone proudly sang "Vande Mataram" in unison and uploaded their beautiful selfies with the National Flag to honor our nation.

August 14: Swachhata DriveIn alignment with national values, a major cleanliness drive was organized across the office premises to promote health, hygiene, and a clean environment.

August 15: The Grand Celebration the celebration culminated on Independence Day with the prestigious National Flag hoisting ceremony at exactly 7:30 AM at the CDPO office.

We extend our warmest wishes to everyone on this historic milestone. Let us continue working together for the development and welfare of our children and community!

🇮🇳 CELEBRATING THE 80TH INDEPENDENCE DAY: HAR GHAR TIRANGA CAMPAIGN 🇮🇳

The Barkhola ICDS Project, Cachar, proudly celebrated India's 80th Independence Day with immense patriotic fervor, community spirit, and widespread public participation across all Anganwadi Centres (AWCs)!

Following national directives, a series of vibrant activities were organized to instill a deep sense of pride and unity among our children, mothers, and the local community.

✨ Key Highlights of the Celebration:

🤳 Vande Mataram & Selfie Upload Drive (13th August): A grand mass mobilization took place on August 13th across all operational AWCs. Beneficiaries, mothers, and Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) came together to sing Vande Mataram, followed by a massive drive where participants proudly uploaded their tricolor selfies onto the official portal.

🏃‍♂️ Patriotic Rallies & Sports Activities: Colorful community rallies echoed with patriotic slogans through local villages. To involve our little ones, different types of sports competitions and creative interactive activities were organized, spreading joy and the spirit of freedom.

🧹 Mass Cleanliness Drive: In line with the vision of a clean India, a comprehensive Swachhata drive was executed across all centres, ensuring clean, hygienic, and welcoming learning environments for our children.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the dedicated Anganwadi Workers, Helpers, supervisors, and community members whose active participation made this national celebration a grand success!

Applications are hereby invited from eligible Anganwadi Helpers (AWHs) for promotion to the post of Anganwadi Worker (AWW) under the Office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Barkhola ICDS Project, Cachar, Assam.

This recruitment drive is conducted in pursuance of the directives issued by the Directorate of Women and Child Development, Assam.

Submission Venue: Submit the completed physical application directly to the CDPO Barkhola Office.

Today, a special enrollment drive for the PMMVY scheme was conducted at Dolu HS School under the Borkhula ICDS Project.The drive witnessed the esteemed presence of CDPO Amrit Kumar Nath, who was joined by the project's Supervisors, BPA, and the District Resource Person.

Our team remains focused on driving grassroots awareness and facilitating seamless enrollments for eligible beneficiaries.

As directed by the Directorate of Women and Child Development, Assam, the office of the Barkhola ICDS Project—including the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Supervisors, and Poshan officials—recently conducted extensive field visits to monitor overall ICDS functioning and verify ongoing Poshan activities.Ensuring health and nutrition services reach every child and mother is our top priority, no matter how remote.

To reach our last-mile beneficiaries, our dedicated team crossed four riverbeds and trekked through 2 kilometers of difficult hill terrain.We remain committed to overcoming all geographical challenges to ensure a healthier future for our community!

The Department of Women and Child Development, in collaboration with the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam, has successfully concluded the six-month certificate course and final assessment for Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) in Cachar district.

The specialized training program was designed for Anganwadi Workers holding a 10+2 educational qualification. It aims to build a cadre of high-quality Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) trained professionals to strengthen early childhood development frameworks.

Key Highlights of the Program:

✅ Executed under the STC-70 Barjatrapur, Cachar.

✅ Implemented collectively across four Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) projects: Barkhola, Kalain, Katigorah, and Salchapra.

✅ Coordinated by Training-In-Charge Mr. Amrit Kumar Nath, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of the Barkhola ICDS Project, ensuring seamless ex*****on within the stipulated timeframe.

🎯Next Steps:

The graduates will now undergo a mandatory 12-day internship program at their respective project levels to apply their training in real-world scenarios.

This joint initiative marks a significant step forward in elevating the standard of foundational literacy and care provided at the grassroots level across Assam.
