Ghambir Gad

Ghambir Gad Fort located on Maharashtra & Gujarat boarder. There is very few evidence of fort we are able to see. Gambhir in Marathi means ‘serious’.

So, Gambhirgad and its environment is according to its name quite ‘serious’. The hike/exploring/return from the entire fort will take a good 7 hours. Situated in Thane district and on Gujarat border, it is probably the last fort in Thane district. Mahalakshmi pinnacle and forts namely Asherigad and Adsul are visible from this fort. Reaching the fort is somewhat very tough as there is no fixed rout

e. One has to negotiate dense jungle full of wild plants, The terrain extremely rough/uneven/rocky/gravely/sludgy etc. One has to hike 2 small hills before finally reaching the forts top. The grade of this hike is very tough and not easy or medium as mentioned many trekking companies. Things to carry: A Water Bottle (~2-3 Ltrs),
Camera, Cell Phone, Cap(Optional)
Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments
Some fresh fruits to keep you well hydrated,
Good trekking shoes
A haversack to put all these things
